I just wanted to put in writting my appreciation for everything your company has done for me recently. The replacement for my 664 mixer arrived today and is working perfectly. Please pass on my thanks to Matt for his patience, expert help and the guidance he has provided despite me phoning, in a panic, from various locations around the world. Thanks to you all for going beyond the call of duty, the level of service has been absolutely fantastic!
Wisycom provides the best in-ear monitoring systems for the pro audio market. We do not settle when it comes to RF Robustness, RF Agility and RF Efficiency, Audio quality, Channel separation, and many more features that give the users the most reliable IEM solution on the market. We therefore took the established reference and refined it even further.
Key Features
Water resistant
A lot of effort has been put into ensuring the bodypack will survive the rough use on stage, and thus all openings and entries have been sealed to ensure liquids don’t enter the bodypack. The MPR60 will be given an IP- rating once the final laboratory tests have been concluded. The most noticeable change from its predecessor is the large metal plate around the 3.5 mm headphone jack, that allows for sealing with the proper plug.
RF antenna sockets
Even though the RF antennas are reinforced and can take a beating, it is still a challenged part of the receiver and may be damaged. And yes, the RF connectors can be replaced without soldering. A special tool is required but if a connector should be damaged, it can be easily replaced.
Display
Quite obviously, the display is remarkably larger than the one of the MPR50 or its main competitor devices. It is an OLED type with a lot of power and contrast that can be read even in the sunlight. As can be seen in the photos, the display offers the possibility to show more information and longer names/descriptions to make it easier to navigate the menus.
Equalizer
The new bodypack comes with an equalizer with 8 audio frequency bands that can be freely adjusted in steps of 0.5 dB as boost or attenuation up to 14 dB. There are 2 shelving filters covering the low- and high-end plus 6 bandpass filters with fixed frequencies.
Cloning the MPR60 bodypack
It is indeed possible to clone the MPR60 as known from the MPR50-IEM. You can even clone an MPR50 into the MPR60 though there are some limitations as the MPR60 has a higher feature-set, like for instance the 8-band equalizer.
Battery Life
This of course depends on many parameters, like e.g. impedance of the connected headphones, the volume applied to these, and so on. Obviously also the type of battery (AA primary cells, Lithium based third party cells or our LBPXL Lithium battery pack), but in general you should expect the same performance as with the MPR50 bodypack, i.e. up to 3.5 hours on Alkaline and more than 6 hours with our Lithium package.
This is on par or better than the competition.
Mono Wide- and Narrow-band in IFB mode
Yes, the MPR60 offers both possibilities. More to follow on this topic, but for now the implementations available are:
200 kHz Wideband RF channel with 45 Hz – 20 kHz Audio
100 kHz Narrowband RF channel with 45 Hz – 17 kHz Audio
The Wideband IFB mode is fully compatible with Microphone transmitters.
Noise and Tone Squelch protection is supported.
Unit Size
The package is smaller than the MPR50 as well as the Shure ADXR, and in terms of numbers you can see the dimensions of our receiver up against the main competition and the predecessor, MPR50, in the table below.
| Wisycom | Shure | Sennheiser | Wisycom |
| MPR60 Bodypack | ADXR Bodypack | SEK Bodypack | MPR50 Bodypack |
| Weight 140g | Weight 124g | Weight 144g | Weight 126g |
