With the clever little boom buddy your microphone boom pole is gently held in the cradle with no clamping mechanism to cause damage. Boom buddy eliminates operator fatigue during long interviews etc...
Because the pole can be removed in a matter of only a few seconds, the boom buddy also enables location Sound Recordists to change from hand held microphone boom operation to a static situation momentarily, without re-rigging microphone or cables.We normally suggest using the second section of a 5 or 6 section boom as the point to rest in the Boom-Buddy cradle.
